Vancouver Celebration of Light – 2010, USA

Few days ago we were telling you about the Celebration of Light (fireworks competition) happening in Vancouver. Well here is a video of  Wednesday, USA were competing, nearly 400,000 people gathered in English Bay (Vancouver downtown popular beach) to watch it:

Celebration of Light!

It’s that time of the year! The Celebration of Light is almost here!

The Celebration of Light is one of Vancouver biggest and most famous festivals. It’s an awesome music and fireworks competition that takes place on English Bay. You cannot miss it! The contestants for this year are: USA (July 21), Spain (July 24), Mexico (July 28) and China (July 31).

It’s estimated that around 1.4 million people visit this event, so you can imagine how popular this show is.

The best places to watch this show are Kitsilano, Vanier Park, English Bay and Jericho Beach. So wherever you choose to go, bring your picnic blanket, and enjoy the show!
